![]() If that kinda work puts you off and lets you chuck a ratio of 3:1, the mac turns out around 5k+ when you take into consideration dongles, the touchscreen installation/purchase - what will that cost when it is actually released? I mean man, you're signed into a money bin if you ask me! For the record, I am in the UK, N.Iĭominicperry you got the pricing a little off and there is no 4k UHD ISP touch screen on the 2018 macbook-pro, right? But you got the useless touch-bar!īut you make the bit of house keeping sound like it's a head sweating lotta work! lol. Please watch this guys videos and get enlightened into the world we don't get to see too often. that's a pipe dream Dominic, I've worked with Apple garbage long enough to know there is absolutely fk all special about them other than they do two things well! Empty your wallet quicker and create absolute fanatical fans who are willing to buy crap (not meaning you) and defend this crap. ![]() You keep defending Apple Dominic, why? Why do you feel the need to point out that you pay all that money (and it's a lot) for plug-and-play and a 100% problem free life. There is DPC Latency which affects those who do real-time audio work. I bought a Dell that was absolutely beautiful made and you can tell! Started up, very nicely, Windows 10 is oddly enough a great OS. Man do you really want me to go though a detailed bullet point of what you paid 5k+ for? And anyway, would YOU pay £4220 for a macbook-pro? No amount of ranting will change that.Ĭlick to expand. It is comments like this that are arrogant and uneducated. Do you pay a premium for Apple - yes indeed. I continue to maintain that Macs tend to work well with audio out of the box more often than PCs. It didn't work properly for audio out of the box. ![]() You are welcome to your opinion and your Dell, I'm simply putting the case that you bought a machine which you had to work at to make good. They're not perfect and problems do crop up - the recent debacle with the T2 chip is one example, the long-standing problems with the Fusion Drives is another, and Apple can be incredibly intransigent about recognising the faults and correcting them. The thing with MacOS is that CoreAudio and CoreMidi get high priority, regardless of what else is running, which means that glitching audio is less likely. Sometimes they're easy to fix, sometimes they're hard, sometimes they just can't be fixed. They dog PC builds for audio unless you are lucky. I can use what I like - I used to use a PC for SAWStudio, and I'm very familiar with DPC latency problems. ![]() If your warranty is still valid, then that's good. The MacBook Pro screen is what it is - 2880x1800. I built a MacBook Pro based on those specs and chose the i9 proc, the most expensive graphics option, 32GB RAM and 1TB SSD. Those are the UK prices, not a UK conversion of US prices. ![]()
